The Hydroelectric Plant is a 1,000 megawatts run-of-the-river hydroelectric power station on the Sutlej River in Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh, India. It is one of the biggest hydro project in the northern part of India.
Requirements
The challenge for the project was to cast wall without tie holes as per the structural requirement. There was a limitation of availability of crane so light weight crane free formwork solution was required.

PERI solution
PERI provided solution with SCS single sided climbing system for intake dam structure of the project. The solution was offered without any tie and the bracket were acting as working platform for rebar fixing and formwork erection and striking. The solution does not need dismentaling of wall formwork and SCS while lifting. For higher height columns, we provided solutions with light weight DUO formwork system. For power house and turbine structure, we provided solution with PERI UP MI, VARIO and MULTIFLEX.
